Kinja'd!!!

I found this guy on the curb this morning. A Weber Q series (2000?) portable grill. With any luck all it will need is some soap and water.

Kinja'd!!!

I excited to have a little gasser to go with my charcoal. And since I’m usually cooking for 2 this is a great size.

That looks pretty sweet. I’ve got a portable propane grill and I use it a lot. A lot more than I thought I would. I like to bring it to work and grill in the parking garage.

We have one exactly like this. It’s probably the best propane grill that I’ve ever eaten from.

They probably used to to grill a baby and then threw it out to hide evidences.

Nice, I’m excited to get it working. I love my charcoal grill but it does take a little extra work.

Thanks, I just got it inside and got it inside. It’s a Weber Q 200.

I think I know why the previous owner got ride of it, the lid does not close all the way. There is a about a half inch gap. I’ll take the lid off by the hinges and see if I can see why its not closing all the way.

Have you seen this problem before?

You may like this: my craigslist find this summer, 80 bucks and a bit of elbow grease. And yes this grill fit into the back of the car pictured above.

That’s not an issue I’m familiar with. Is the cookbox warped?

That’s a very nice Performer Touch-N-Go! I’ve seen someone stuff one of those in the back of a C5 Corvette.

I did not realize this when i picked it up but you can see the gap in the first picture.

That could be. Although the grates sit in it with no wobble.

I took the pins (hinges) out of the back and when I put the lid back on and it sits flush, but these are how the two hinges on the lid and base mate up.

Warped something? Not sure which one though.

I’m thinking at worst I can make some kind of new holes for a hinge on the one side.

Edit: not sure if the pictures are coming through, here are links.

Yeah, something is warped. Probably the cookbox. does it look like it had a fire in it?
